M&S shoppers 'love' £39.50 cargo trousers they say are ridiculously comfortable and include clever hack if they're too long

The trousers are flying off the shelf but take a note of the sizing recommendations in the reviews section

Marks and Spencer have done it again and made a garment that shoppers are going mad for. These cargo trousers are said to be ridiculously comfortable and have a special hack if you find that they're too long.

The Modal Rich Cargo Wide Leg Trousers have been called a 'great summer trouser' that is 'practical', 'comfortable' and 'so stylish'. At £39.50 shoppers also feel they are worth the price.

The trousers are very versatile according to reviewers, with elasticated cuffs which means you can change the silhouette to alter the fit and the look. People have been commenting online that they can also be worn as part of a relaxed casual look or a smart dressed-up look.

In the reviews, the shoppers have been letting everyone know exactly what they think and overall, the trousers have received a 4.5 out of five at the time of writing. One review said: "I am in love with these. They are practical and comfortable and so stylish. I can tie them round the ankles which means the length is suitable for me as I'm literally just over 5’ (by half an inch!). Since they arrived I’ve worn them most days."

Another shopper said: "I love these cargo trousers. I usually only ever wear them on holiday and bought these to replace the ones that no longer fit, due to me losing a lot of weight. They fit so well, I immediately ordered another pair and they are definitely good to wear dressed up to go out. I wish they had them in white."

Some of the reviews have had problems with the fit, complaining that the waist is too small or the length too long. One customer said: "Lovely trousers but too small on the waist. Good quality and great shape apart from the waist."

Someone else had a similar problem and said: "Marks need to work out their sizing!!! I’m 5,4” and bought the short length but they are too long and look more like Harem pants than Cargo. No ankle showing at all."

In one review, the shopper said that the trouser 'comes up small' so would recommend getting a size up. One person did just that after reading the reviews and took to them after to say: "Bought the faded green which looks great with cream top and loafers. Normally size 12 but after reading other reviews went up a size which fits perfectly and the looser waist suits the style."

You can find the cargo trousers here for £39.50.
